The center will focus on areas such as chip design verification, product optimization, and autonomous driving technologies. This plan was reportedly proposed by CEO Jensen Huang during a recent meeting with Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng, and the Shanghai government has apparently expressed initial support for the project. NVIDIA currently employs about 2,000 people in Shanghai, primarily in sales and support roles.
