Endor Labs is expanding its application security (AppSec) platform by deploying AI agents, aiming to tackle development risks associated with AI-generated code and "vibe coding." These AI agents go beyond simply identifying potential risks. They prioritize threats, propose viable solutions, and even automatically implement necessary fixes. This move seeks to address the growing concerns around the security of code produced by AI tools, ensuring that organizations can leverage these technologies without compromising their overall security posture.
Endor Labs has also successfully raised $93 million in a Series B funding round. The investment, led by DFJ Growth, with participation from Salesforce Ventures and existing investors, will be used to safeguard AI-generated code and enhance its platform capabilities. The company's platform currently protects over 5 million applications and performs more than a million scans each week for notable clients, including OpenAI and Dropbox. This funding round will also support hiring additional engineering talent and expanding go-to-market strategies globally.
These AI agents are transforming alert triage by significantly compressing the time between alert generation and the subsequent action taken. The agents dynamically analyze context, correlate data from various sources, and provide actionable insights, reducing the time-to-understanding for security analysts. By automating and augmenting the incident response lifecycle, from initial investigation to remediation, these agents aim to enable security teams to handle a larger volume of alerts without needing to increase headcount, effectively breaking the traditional linear relationship between alert volume and team size.
